What Causes Long Menstruation Period?

I haver had my period since june the 15th. I went to see a doctor on july the 13th and he prescribed me mediction that would stop the bleeding. After the medication run out the bleeding has started again. i also got a blood test and they said that the results were fine. What could it be?
