What Causes Loss Of Hearing And Blockage In Ears?

i cannot hear very much out of my left ear. i feel like there is something in there. the doctor gave me flonase and i also used swimmers ear drops that have not worked. its been that way for four months.my hearing is getting worse.Please help. also what does om mean when he talks about my ear.?
