What Causes Loss Of Hearing In An Ear With Nasal Drip?

Hi, I suffer from sinus problems. After a virus caught from one of my kids, and after 2 types of antibiotics (to treat the sinus infection) i found i couldnt hear that well from my right ear. Doc said she couldnt see the ear drum and it was blocked by wax. Had it syringed today but some wax wouldnt come out. Nurse said the remaining wax wasnt affecting the ear drum. Afterwards, my hearing still wasnt that great and outdoor noise is confusing and my own voice sounded a little loud. I got home, bent down to take my boots off to find my nose pouring with water lots of it. It did eventually stop. Now another doc has just taken a look in my ear drum to say that she couldnt quite see all of it but there was a black area she believed to be a perforation. My worry is that it isnt this and could be something different? Please advise.
