What Causes Loss Of Sense Of Smell And Taste After Sinus Infection?

I lost my sense of smell and taste due to a sinus infection. I went to a doctor and he took a cat scan and said everything was normal. I still havent got my taste and smell back, and its been 5 month or longer. My question is will they ever come back?
