What Causes Loss Of Voice After A Coughing Fit?

I have been diagnosed with bronchitis two times within two months now, and I'm still feeling sick. I seem to have excessive sputum and a very stuffy nose! I have headaches a lot and my vision seems to be blurred (I do have contacts, and I do clean them/take care of them as directed) I keep having the urge to puke/I've been feeling very fatigued, most likely due to my lack of sleep because I am so hot..I don't haven't had anything but a low fever..I also h ave a sharp cough and I loose my voice after a fit ..Is this usual or is it something other than a common cold?
