What Causes Loss On Hearing In An Ear?

Hi I have been experiencing loss of hearing in my right ear that at first can be best described as a 'swimmers ear' sensation and the next couple days got worse to where it is noticeably different than my other ear, should I go to a ER and get this addressed or is it ok to see if time will heal?
