What Causes Low Body Temperature While Suffering With Pneumonia?

My son has a temp of 95.8 and was diagnosed with pneumonia last Thursday. He is taking Azithromycin Methylprednisolone Fluticasone nasel spray Singular Zyrtec Mucinex and a proair inhaler He developed diarrhea last night and still has it. Green in color I just picked up a probiotic with Saccharomyces Boulardii and gave him one dose just in case this is C-Diff My question: Why is his fever so low when his body is trying to fight off this infection?
