What Causes Lower Abdominal Discomfort And Blood In Stool?

I ve been having some discomfort in my left lower abdominal side, bloating, and was told that there was some blood in my stool. The doctor recommended to have a colonoscopy done but, I don t want to do that procedure. Is there another procedure I can have?
