What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain After Implanon Implantation?

Tommorrow will be one week I was fitted with implanon. Today I have experienced pain in the lower left side of my abdomen. I thought maybe it could be ovulation pain but I read that the implanon actually works by preventing ovulation. Any thoughts on why I'm having this pain?
