What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain During Bowel Movements While Having Hernia?

i was diagnosed with a hernia yesterday but think ive had it since last Friday. im now struggling to go to the toilet to open my bowels but im going to the toilet for a wee more than normal. i feel ok, just an ache in my lower abdomen. I think i went yesterday morning but not since? When should I go back?
