What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain Post Menopause?

I just started having a sharp pain in my lower left side (really low abdomen or high pelvic area). It is quite persistent and has lasted about 30 minutes. I felt fine one minute and then had the sharp pain the next. I m well past menopause (62 in a couple of weeks).
