What Causes Lower Back And Pelvic Pain?

i have been experiencing lower back and pelvic pain on the right side that has gotten increasingly worse over about a six month period. My bowl movements have been very irregular and today my stool was actually chalk colored. I haven t eaten anything different than I usually do and am not on any medications except Synthroid.
