What Causes Lower Back Pain And Spasms In Arteries?

My husband is 48 years old. Drinks at least a 12 pack a day and 18 to 20 beers on each sat and sunday. Today he told me that he was having horrible pain in his lower back. Where his kidneys are. Plus he said it felt like his arteries were spasming. His fingers were cramping too. All this happened today. And I m concerned.
