What Causes Lower Back Pain When On Nuvaring?

I m 35, on Nueva Ring. Having lower left sided back pain 3 days ago. I then started period 2 days ago with normal bleeding (nothing heavy). Passed a clot today about 2in in diameter. i don t normally pass clots that large. I had a baby 10mo ago. What could this be?
