What Causes Lower Backache?

I have a nagging ache in my lower back right side . I do have a kidney stone which they told me is not blocking anything . Could it move? I also had Kidney cancer in 2006 had a partial nephrectomy . About 3 months ago they said I had a lesion on the kidney , but didn't seemed concerned . Should I be concerned with this nagging ache?
