What Causes Lump In The Throat Post Treatment For Strep Infection?

Hi, I have recently been sick with bronchitis and an upper resp. Infection. After being sick I developed a large abscess on my pubic mons. It was drained and cultured. The culture came back to be strep. In the meantime, my antibiotic (Biaxin) was increased to have me take it to 3 times a day. Since increasing the Biaxin I have developed a very painful lump in my throat. Its hard for me to swallow. I cannot take my pills or eat as it causes me to vomit after. Even something as simple as drinking water feels like its stretching me inside and hurts very bad. I am at my wits end. Im very depressed and aware of this lump . My question is could this be some kind of strange side effect of the Biaxin and taking so much of it. Or, could this be related to them draining that abscess of strep?
