What Causes Lump Near The Throat Along With Itching In Throat?

I feel a lump or something near my throat which is accompanied by a very shard itching on my throat. Also, not sure if they are related or not my tongue has this layer over it that I can just pick off and is white and very meaty. Would love some tips on what I might be dealing with and if it s serious enough to see a doctor
