What Causes Lump On Neck And Spitting Of Blood?

Hi my sister is 43 in general good health, but last week she noticed a lump in her throat by kneck and shes spitting some blood in her spit, theres no pain or weight loss of any changes, just can you please give any options to what it may be please, only shes geting quite anxious now she said shes going to visit any g.p but wants to no how serious this is and if you have any idea thanks many reguards.
