What Causes Lump On Shoulder Blade Area?

Hi, I have a lump in between my shoulder blades. It just started to appear yesterday. I ma not sure what it is. It is a little painful but not to bad when I take pain medication. Do you have any suggestions or can tell me possibly what it could be and what to do? Thanks
