What Causes Lump On The Leg?

Yesterday, I had a lump in my leg,slight discoloration, hurt alot when touched. Today , the lump is almost gone, but there is a very large black and blue mark. The whole leg hurts. I don't remember bumping it. This has happened before in the same spot. Is this something to worry about.
