What Causes Lumps In Inner Parts Of Toes?

my daughter is worried as she took nail polish off her toe nails and discovered purple/black marks on the inner parts of her big toes. She said that there seem to be lumps under the toenail and is very worried that she has skin cancer. She has no pain in her toes.
