What Causes Major Cramping And Weight Gain?

i had my tubes tied 7 year ago, I have not had my period since December. I am currently 39 years old and have taken a pregnancy test and it was negative. I am having major cramping. What could be wrong? I was tested for Krohn's 2 year ago and it was negative. I am also gaining a lot of weight but not eating any more.
