What Causes Menstrual Pain While Having Inserted Coil?

Hello, I had the coil inserted 10 wks ago and I am still experiencing pain which fluctuates between severe period to dull aching feeling with a niggling sensation. My main concern is when I exercise or make certain movements I get this intense sharp stabbing pain which makes me crouch over suddenly on my right side (left if mirrored). Is this normal? I tried checking for strings and can t feel them but never done it before until recent so I may not be reaching the top.
