What Causes Metallic Taste While On Amlodipine?

my mom had a stroke and complains about a metallic taste in her mouth, as well as a heightened sensitivity to spices. She is currently taking 2.5 mg of amlodipine. Because of the taste we requested her medication be changed and they put her on Lisinopril, however her blood pressure went up so they put her back on the amlodipine. She is not on any other medications other than daily baby aspirin. Are there certain medications that cause the metallic taste and can the metallic taste affect your teeth?
