What Causes Migraines With Chronic Generalized Pain?

I went to a neurologist for chronic generalized pain and migraines. He ran every test in the book on me including sticking long, steel needles in me and doing nerve surgery on me. They came back and said that my results came up abnormal, but that they could not determine what was wrong. How do I find out what is wrong with me?
