What Causes Missed Period And Nausea While On Mirena?

I have had the mirena implanted for 4 years now and for the past 2 months I have missed my period which is unusual. I have been feeling nausea and tired the past couple of days and have also taken a pregnancy test which came up negative. What could be causing this?
