What Causes Missed Periods After Taking Contraceptive Pills?

I have missed my periods for the last two months. I took contraceptive pills in December 1st week and then i got my periods two time in December and missed in Jan and Feb. I have got my test done for pregnancy which came out to be negative. Also, ultrasound shows everything to be normal. What could be the reason for this? Kindly help.
