What Causes Missed Periods With Spotting After The Last Depo Injection?

i had my last depo provera injection in august 2010 and decided not to have the next one in november, i have not had a period as yet but i had brown spotting the beginning of march and april this year and have had intercourse twice in the last 3 months. is it just my body getting back to normal or could i be pregnant?
