What Causes Missing Periods And Brown Vaginal Discharge?

So my last period was around October 24 and I have not had a period since, well I have had all the symptoms of being pregnant, but today I went use the bathroom and I had some brown/reddish blood when I wiped it was just that once and has not happened since. What could this be?
