What Causes Mixed Results Of Biopsy Showing Mild Or Severe Lesions?

I recently had an abnormal pap test. It showed cell changes to my cervix. They had sent me to get a colposcopy and biopsy right away. They said it was low grade but my results were hard to read because it showed the lesions were mild - severe instead of just one or the other. What does this mean if it showed up this way? .. I am now waiting for my results from the biopsy and hpv test
