What Causes Mole On The Genital Area?

I have this small mark on my private parts, this is the firts time that I have got this and it is painfull when i go to the toilet or even when i wear underwear. Mu husband think that it might be a in-grow hair but i am really scared, because we have alot of cancer in the family. And this and the pains when we have intercores only started after i had my hestorectomy. Do you think that i should rather go to a doctor or not.
