What Causes Mood Swings During Period?

i got my period febuary 14th and it was really dark compared to normal then after the regular 4 days my cycle stopped.. i had intercourse with my boyfriend a couple days later then on the 25th i got my period again this time my flow is super heavy but with tons of spotting, i have never been emotional during my period and i cannot stop crying then to seconds later i'm furious
