What Causes Mucus In Mouth And Around Teeth?

I have mucous coming into mouth and around teeth, and numerous migraines. MRI of brain and sinuses are normal. This has Been going on for a year now and getting progressively worse. I recently went to an infectious disease specialist. He took numerous blood samples to rule out a disease or infection. He is thinking it might be an auto immune issue. Can you give me any insight?
