What Causes Mucus In Stool?

Sure. Last couple of days(4-5) I have had diarrhea and what seems to be constipation at the same time? Also what has been coming out is almost non existent which looks like clear yet dis colored (beige) mucus. Along with some particles? I have the urge to go as if I had diarrhea but a lot of has. What is going on???
