What Causes Muscle Spasms And Breathlessness Post Back Surgery?

my girlfriend who is 60 has had major back surgery with a cage placed in her back a few years ago. She now has a condition where she has muscle spasms and cannot sit down. She hasn't been able to sit for months and no one is helping her. She can't eat and gets out of breath a lot. Someone someplace needs to help her she is a mess and is suffering a lot.
