What Causes Nail Whitening With A Gap Between The Nail And Bed?

hi, recently i have developed some problems in my nail the colour of the nail has whitened and the area of the whitened part there is agap between nail and nail bed can u please tell me the reason for that and what precaution has to be taken and what is the treatment for that
