What Causes Nausea After Hair Coloring Procedure?

I had a hair perm, two weeks later a root color. Now I have a chemical smell and slight chemical taste in my mouth. Nobody can smell this in my hair. I ve had perms and colored hair all my life with no problems, until now. The only meds I take is synthroid.. Do I need to see a Dr.just hope this goes away on its own? At the end of the day, it almost makes me nauseous. What to do?
