What Causes Nausea Followed By Diarrhea?

I have had low level nausea for 2 weeks. For the first time last night I had two diarrhea attacks about half hour apart. The last stools were dark green gel like. Most pain and nausea is in the center of my stomach midway between diaphragm and waistline. What could be the cause of this ongoing nausea?
