What Causes Nausea, Heightened Sense Of Smell And Excessive Salivation During Ovulation?

I recently have many symptoms while ovulating such as nausea, Heightened sense of smell, watery mouth among others this month I had them around the 17th and I got a heavy period 3 days later is this normal? was this not a real period although heavy bleeding occurred?
