What Causes Noise In Ears Along With Tightness In Throat?

Hello Doctors My mom, 85 years old, very healthy, experiences sudden, knocking noise in her right ear, combined with tightness of throat, almost like something that travels throughout her sinus parts. She also feels dizzy, and just not well. These episodes can last anywhere from 5 minutes, to 4 hours. So far, all tests she has had, have been able to offer a reason. Thank you Charlotte
