What Causes Nose Bleed And Flow Of Blood Into Throat?

I have been suffering nose bleeds and constant running of blood down the back of my throat. I cannot sleep because when I lay down blood runs down the back of my throat. Any information on this would help as I am beginning to get a little more worried. The nose bleeds are taking up to 2 hours to completely stop.
