What Causes Nose Bleeding Through Right Nostril?

my eight year old, just woke up (its 3.45 am) from nose bleeding in right nostril, 10 min have gone by, it has gone down, but has not stopped. Should I lean him back or front? In how long should I let him go back to sleep? Do I need to anything else? THANK YOU
