What Causes Nose Bleeding While On Provera Tablets?

I am 20 years old just recently i was prescribed provera tablet for seven days to regulate my menstral cycle during the four days my nose bleed so i stopped taking the pills and the bleeding stopped today my cycle started i want to no why did my nose bleed and what other types of birth control can i take
