What Causes Numbing Sensation In Tongue, Slurring, And Choking Feeling?

Hello, just a question. I am experiencing a numbing sensation with my tongue. I am slurring at times and feel as though I am choking and list headed... I had an aneurysm and stroke in 2006, and I m pretty concerned but do not want to go to the ER with this. I am a 41 yr old male, with diabetes which is under control and feeling pretty good other than this inconvenience... thank you in advance for your cooperation.
