What Causes Numbness Along With Pins And Needles In Upper Chest?

last week I had what felt like a pulled muscle on the left sode of my rib cage it went away after a few days and has been replaced by occassional numbness and pins & needles feeling on my upper left chest. No pain just a feeling of squeezing of my skin then numbness which goes away after a couple of minutes. No other symptoms, no shortness of breath, no pain, no nausea etc. All else is fine. I am 67 male no history of heart problems or diabetes etc. I am 5 2 and 132 pounds
