What Causes Numbness And Cold Feet After Having Ankle And Wrist Surgery?

My husband just had surgery on his left ankle and right wrist - he broke both falling off a ladder. He has been in oxycodine and ibuprofen since Friday. Pain is getting less each day, however tonight my husband has numbness and freezing cold feet on his opposite foot from the surgery. Not sure that's anything to be concerned with?
