What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation On Left Side Of Face?

Hi, I have had a small knot on my neck for about a month now. I went to the doctor after about a week of noticing it because out of no where my left side of my face became numb followed my lots of tingling. I was giving a antibiotic and steroid which I believe made the knot become somewhat smaller. I stopped the steroid on a Sunday and that Tuesday I became feeling the tingling again....but I have not had my face go completely numb again. The knot is much much smaller but still there and I still have small feelings in my face every once in a while. Now I am starting to have major headaches!!! Any idea on what could be going on???
