What Causes Numbness In Fingers And Hands While Applying Pressure On Them?

I have normal blood pressure, average cholesterol, a little over weight, don t exercise enough, used to smoke, mostly marijuanna until a year ago. Bi-lateral bk amputee. My fingers/hands will get numb whenever putting pressure on them such as sometimes driving or when I lay my arm over my wife while lying in bed at night. Normal or a symptom?
