What Causes Numbness In Left Arm And Leg Caused Due To Coughing?

Hello Doctor...My name is Linda and I am 51 years old. I have noticed lately that when I cough hard my left arm and left leg become numb and tingly. Along with these symptoms, my left hand fingers, left arm and left leg have an odd type of spasm involved. It's an odd sensation. It appears to be getting progressively worse. What would cause such symptoms?
