What Causes Numbness In Legs And Arms After Suffering From Heart Attack And Colitis?

I have been having numbness in my legs and arms, the left side more than the right . I have had four cases of colitis in the 2 years I only find out when I go to use the bathroom for a bowel movement all of a sudden my whole body shuts seems to go numb and burning feeling. On 2 occasions I was unable to get off the toilet until the ambulance came I thought I was having a heart attack.Since my last attack in December I have been getting this numb feeling in my legs and arms the legs are the worse. They put me on steroids the last time in and felt much better until about 2 weeks after I stopped. I called my primary docter and asked to put me back on the steroids she did with a 7 day dose pack 4mg prednisone. the day after starting them I began to feel much better. Is there something in my system that is not producing this in my system. I have had a scope done heart checked and all kind of blood test everything comes back negative, now I think there just guessing they have me scheduled for more test. I cant get them to understand how bad it gets right before I have these attacks of c dep and colitis I feel as though I am going to die when it happens. Please if you can help in any way I cant live like this . Thank you
